Charlotte Di Gregorio, NMT, NewPath Wellness

Charlotte’s curiosity about anatomy and the human body has always been. But it wasn’t until her own body began to fail her that this became a quest for a truer understanding of how our bodies work and how they want to heal. While earning her BFA in Theatre and Performance from CalArts, occasional backaches and headaches became chronic low back issues and migraines. The joy of exploring range of movement and expression in performance was always followed by need to recover, trips to the chiropractor, debilitating headaches, pain killers.. and subsequent anxiety and depression, weight-gain, loss of range of motion, loss of capacity to express with the actors tool: the body. For the next 10 years, pain and discomfort was a part of everyday life, even when her body was mostly functional.

Charlotte’s desire to help herself learn and heal eventually led her to explore a career in massage therapy, where she could also help others. She attended National Holistic Institute because of its program in Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy. In school, she found a wonderful community of teachers and peers whose passion mirrored and stoked her own. Other than the building of skills and confidence to help almost any client that may cross her path, Charlotte's biggest take-away from learning in-depth about the body is that it is an endless research project!

Each individual’s experience in their body shapes their perception and quality of life, and each body is asking to be seen in the moment in order to facilitate healing.

In her almost 6 years in this profession, Charlotte has worked alongside former instructors, chiropractors and acupuncturists. She also has a thriving private practice in Burbank called Sacred Vessel Bodywork, named because it is Charlotte’s belief that while “we are not these bodies”, the body is a sacred vessel of our energy and spirit, and it needs attention and tuning. These vessels have intelligence and know how to heal under the right circumstances. Charlotte is passionate about using her intuition, education, and compassion to facilitate the innate healing ability of any body.
